Data controller

The data controller under Turkish data protection law (Law no. 6698) is Soniki Software.

What we collect and why

  • Contact and demo forms. Name, email, phone, institution, role, institution size and your message — to answer your enquiry and contact you. Lawful basis: necessary for steps prior to a contract, and legitimate interest. No separate consent is requested for this.
  • Newsletter. Your email address only, to send announcements. Lawful basis: your explicit consent. You may withdraw it at any time.
  • Technical records. Your IP address and browser string, kept to prevent abuse and deleted after 180 days.
  • How your enquiry reached us. If you arrived via a link or advert, that fact (e.g. “LinkedIn”) is held temporarily in your browser’s session storage and reaches us only if you submit a form. It is erased when you close the tab and is never shared with any third party. Purpose: to see which channels work.
  • Analytics cookies. Only if you consent. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no request is sent to the analytics provider.

Who it is shared with

The site runs on servers of our hosting provider located in Türkiye. If you consent to analytics cookies, analytics data is transferred to an analytics provider located abroad. A newsletter delivery provider located abroad may be used in future; your consent text covers that transfer.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiry records: 2 years.
  • Newsletter subscription: until you withdraw consent.
  • IP and browser string: 180 days.

Your rights

Under Turkish data protection law you may learn whether your data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties it is transferred to at home or abroad, request correction if incomplete or inaccurate, request erasure or destruction, request that such actions be notified to third parties, object to results produced solely by automated analysis, and claim compensation for damages.
